7 months of experience in cold calling, outreaching, and pure grind work. For the past few years, I have always been interested and passionate about doing sales and talking to people. That made me switch from product designing to sales (that has proven to be the best decision of my professional career by far, I love it) With that kinda burning desire for sales, I started my sales career as an SDR for a B2B tech startup and a sales agency. The only responsibility I had was to head down and cold-call people every day. For the first few weeks, sure I sucked at talking with people but with the consistent 1:1s with my sales leader and working on the candid feedback I got from him, the rise I had in my skills was substantial. Week by week, my skills at talking with people couldn’t go unnoticed by the company whether it’s tonality, confidence, asking relevant questions, overcoming objections and smoothly asking for meetings. I built a deep understanding of the industry, the problems it faces and the ICP. I followed top LinkedIn influencers like Josh Braun, Belal Batrawy, and Jed Mahrle, who are experts in the art of selling, and I continuously learned from their content. As a result, I was able to book 10+ meetings and follow-ups each month with 20+ as my top performance in a month. The mindset that skyrocketed my performance was think big - act big and 1% improvement. Today, my primary skill is cold calling followed by cold emailing, and I am super confident at that. My next goal is to help companies with the skills and results I have generated and work with amazing sales leaders who greatly value SDRs.
