I worked at PwC for 10+ years in a variety of management consulting, financial services, and auditing roles. I supported large to mid-sized organizations with numerous strategic initiatives, ranging from enterprise risk management (ERM), audit readiness, internal controls testing, financial management, system implementation, change management/training, and other highly technical support. I was also responsible for internal activities, such as business development, proposals and white papers, coaching and mentoring staff, and attending conferences and PwC community activities.

I supported this engineering, construction, and design/build firm as a project/cost accountant. I was responsible for recording and maintaining profits and costs for a portfolio of projects. I collected data to determine business activity, analyzed budget to actual costs, prepared reports, and discussed results with project managers. I know this might not be the usual venue for something like this – but seeing as my wife, Urvashi, isn’t exactly scrolling through Facebook or Instagram these days, this is how we communicate now :)

After 13 glorious years of being... what’s the word? Ah, right – BLESSED, to stand by Urvashi’s side, I’ve been on this rollercoaster that somehow gets crazier every year.

In 2024 alone – and I kid you not – she’s pulled off more stunts than a Hollywood action hero. 

Securing big contracts left and right, landing media deals like she’s collecting stamps, and kick-starting a venture fund with some of the balleriest ballers that ever ballered (not real words, I know)!

Oh, and did I mention she’s doing all of this while juggling two kids under 3 years old? Not to mention the needy husband, probably the most demanding of them all!

For those of you not in the loop about Urvashi’s journey, don’t even get me started. We’d be here till next Tuesday – and I don’t have enough snacks for that long haul. 

But just know, she’s scaling mountains so high that I’ve officially run out of excuses to ever complain about anything. Ever. Again.

Happy birthday, Urvashi! Here’s to many more years of you blowing our minds and me trying to come up with words that do justice to your awesomeness. 

Spoiler alert: I’m still searching for those words.
