Happy birthday Ellipsus! 

3 years. 2M documents. 200K users. And we’re only just getting started.

This post is a couple weeks late, but wanted to share the moment when we hit 200k (it’s now a lot more lol, but let’s keep the round number). We brought in our team from around Europe, splurged on a shiny cake, and absconded to Greece—the birth great myths.

The goal of the trip was to reflect on where we came from and plan for the future—we started as an idea, and now have built a mission-driven team, a product people love, and put thousands of stories into the world that otherwise wouldn’t have existed. 

On October 27th, 2022, our bank account went close to zero as we scraped together the $500 to incorporate. Of course the journey began months before that with the first prototype and deck, and years before that as the dream of building a better way of telling stories gestated in our heads. But this is the date where a dream became something real and consequential.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey so far, and also a down payment to all the future people we’ll be collaborating with. 3 years is a small number when you’re thinking about building a company—and a movement—that lasts much, much longer.

To the next three (hundred) years!
