Director of Business Systems & Information Technologies

Through the processes of competitive bidding and direct negotiations, $40,000 was saved on items such as forklifts, patch cables, telephone systems, computer switches and pre-assembled buildings.
Purchased all MRO supplies for a 180,000 sq ft, 110-employee distribution/production facility. This included office supplies, corrugated supplies ($275,000 annually), computer hardware/software etc.
Yearly spending has been reduced by over $25,000 in the areas of leasing and contract pricing.
By effectively utilizing the competitive bidding strategy, corrugated costs at GPX have decreased by more than 10% per year.
Responsible for corporate expenditures in excess of $5 Million.
Negotiate corporate leases such as copy machines, trash compactor and telephones system.
Supervise a staff of four whose duties include purchasing, mail processing, and building maintenance.
Completely managed the bid process, design and installation of the voice and data system and wiring well as fire and premises alarm wiring for a 180,000 sq ft distribution facility.
Redesigned through the use of traffic reports and user input, the voice and data service, which provided 46% more telephone lines and 300% more data bandwidth. This was accomplished with cost savings.
Quoted and oversaw the installation of a 2000 pallet space rack system.
From bidding to execution, entirely coordinated the moving of a 30,000 sq ft, 70-employee office with fewer than 4 hours of down time and no damaged or lost equipment.
Working with the Marketing Department has produced the best-designed POP displays in company history while saving over $60,000 through international sourcing and reengineering.
