In 2020, I joined an early-stage startup as the company’s ninth hire (and the first business-side hire). My role as a Marketing Associate required me to wear many hats - including serving as a member of the hiring team for all new business-side hires. This experience introduced me to the world of talent acquisition, and I quickly developed a deep passion for talent operations. So I pitched a new role for myself to join our talent team - and I got the job! I've worked in recruiting and people operations ever since.
