I started life poor, on a council estate in Nottingham, UK (COYR) Leaving school at 15, leaving home at 16, I was a father at 19 and should have been dead by 21. I left the UK at 25 and never got back. With no qualifications or rich parents coming to bail me out, I started work on commission only, selling cable television door to door before getting my first job cold calling with Macquarie Telecom. After 20 years in tech sales, I needed to give back and found purpose using my network to create a brand new category to help leaders use professional development to raise funds for charities. meetmagic kickstarted during lockdown 2020 and today we have given almost $2M away to charities, with more than $1.1m helping 30,000 seriously ill kids.
