meetmagic, a meeting platform that helps executives and vendors meet better, turning conversation into contribution and making sure every interaction is time well spent.

I started life poor, on a council estate in Nottingham, UK (COYR) Leaving school at 15, leaving home at 16, I was a father at 19 and should have been dead by 21. I left the UK at 25 and never got back. 

With no qualifications or rich parents coming to bail me out, I started work on commission only, selling cable television door to door before getting my first job cold calling with Macquarie Telecom.

After 20 years in tech sales, I needed to give back and found purpose using my network to create a brand new category to help leaders use professional development to raise funds for charities.

meetmagic kickstarted during lockdown 2020 and today we have given almost $2M away to charities, with more than $1.1m helping 30,000 seriously ill kids. Today, many leaders proudly use meetmagic in their job interview process as a way to demonstrate impactful leadership. 

meetmagic is the largest community of purpose driven leaders in 5 countries and growing, with incredible supporters and “The” Rory Sutherland, Vice Chairman of Ogilvy UK as our “Chief Evangelist”

I think people generally underestimate what it takes for a small team to bring world class Cyber security leaders together

Not for a roundtable lunch or speaking slot on stage

But for a full day immersive conversation to learn about personal and business resilience from someone who has literally been through it all.

Imagine being a leader in your field and being indicted..  Being a husband, and a father of 3..

To not know if you are going to prison. 

Even worse, to have your bank cancel all of your accounts and even your life's savings in pension at risk .. 

Life as we know it would just just end for many.

Only a few more sleeps until the #CISO Crisis, Leadership & Resilience event of the year with Joe Sullivan the former Uber CISO.

When I think that what meetmagic and the UK team have done to solve this problem- it’s the most simple and efficient use of time, money and resources with the maximum possible benefits and outcomes for both prisoners, victims and society at large.

Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice. MP for Tottenham.

Our justice system is in crisis - the rise in releases in error from prison is a symptom of this.

Today I have announced a new action plan which will tackle these release errors and keep the public safe.

This includes:

•	A new Justice Performance Board to track key performance metrics
•	Investment in AI-powered tools to help staff calculate sentences accurately and accelerate upgrades to reduce human error
•	Expanding Dame Lynne Owens’ independent review and establishing a dedicated data team to review historic cases, to understand the issues
•	A fast-track courts hotline for urgent prison queries and get rapid clarifications on warrants, to improve processes
•	Simplifying release policy to standardise how cases are treated 

This won’t be solved overnight. There’s still a mountain to climb, but we are taking urgent action to keep the public safe.
