I am a motivated and committed professional with 15 years in healthcare including three years in case management/care coordination. I am knowledgeable in various roles of the healthcare continuum including acute care, home health, care coordination, medical record review, and insurance. I have a Bachelors in Nursing as well as a Certified Case Manager. As a RN case manager for three years, I applied critical and strategic thinking to holistically evaluate and analyze each patient's medical history and current state. Along with knowledge of insurance and hospital rules and regulations I was able to create a plan for each patient that ensured a safe and timely discharge while reducing readmission rates. I focus on being an integral part of the medical team with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues. My career goals are to further learn and make an impact in healthcare by ensuring health equity and connecting people to resources to best utilize the healthcare system, reducing costs and improving population health. I enjoy expanding my learning as a career professional and as a person. I love being in the outdoors paddle boarding, hiking, or traveling to new and exciting places domestically and abroad.
