As a person with a postgraduate degree in Public Relations and Events, I always thought I would end up working in the events sector. After all, the job market was booming and my degree was highly sought after. But then Covid-19 hit, and crashed the party! I had to move quickly. So I switched to Client Servicing and tried to make something of myself in the corporate world. I was lucky enough to gain some valuable experience and was exposed to a great deal of what makes the corporate world so dynamic. It wasn't the kind of work i had envisioned for myself, but it was a lot of fun and i was happy with my choice. I was giving my all to my job, but at the same time exploring new opportunities. Lucky for me, the exploration led me to a New York-based IT solutions company, where i took up the role of a Business Development Manager, responsible for the marketing and HR space. Currently working as a Senior Marketing and Communications Manager at the same company with incredibly bright and fun group of people. One thing I realised throughout was that sometimes life takes you places you never thought you'd be. I could never have predicted where the pandemic would take me, but i am thankful for the journey.
