Created and drove the value of a redesigned travel programme for Arriva, a multinational organization with no organized travel programme at the time of my arrival. 

Accomplishments: 

Negotiated TMC contract and implemented a new travel and expense policy group wide. 

100 companies in 14 countries. 

Introduced new hotel payment programme. 

Identified KPI’s via spend analysis, contract management, category strategy, and change/behaviour management on a regional scale.

Accomplishments: 

Re-implemented online booking tool Concur in multiple countries improving compliance to 82% 

Tendered and implemented new TMC in multiple countries. 

Re-wrote Travel Policy to meet needs of company culture and improve compliance management. 

Restructured global reporting regions to remove multiple layers of policy and management, offering a streamlined structure for improved training and cooperation between regions. 

Results included improved tracking of spend for contract negotiations.

Responsible for driving value in the travel programme through spend analysis, contract management and behavior management.  

Accomplishments: 

Initiated changes to travel programme behaviour and compliance, culminating in £1MM annual savings. 

Issued RFP for new Travel Management Company, Car Rental Company, and Ground Transportation (black car and cab services). 

Made recommendations for further modifications to travel policy to improve compliance, and traveller journey.  

Provided recommendations on creating checks and balances between TMC invoicing and payables.  Improved accountability of billing by TMC benefiting employer in streamlined payment processes and recharging.

HRG North America

Development of business plans, priorities and travel management strategy for a portfolio of corporate clients, including government contractors.  Provide strategic analysis of travel spend, and company policy, ensuring program is consistent with industry best practices and meets company objectives.  Regularly collaborates with all levels of management to provide guidance and ensure a continuity of service, with a primary goal to identify cost savings initiatives and spend management. Works with clients to provide end to end solutions including global on-line booking tools and expense management.  Extensive experience in RFP’s and contract negotiations with all vendors within the travel industry realm.  Further experience with managing programs with large Meeting and Incentives and Fly America requirements.  Additional responsibilities include budget planning, analysis, and reporting including development of priorities based on budget variance analysis.  Provide regular status updates on industry developments including opportunities for improvement in purchasing, technology and service delivery.
