Instructional Empowerment

In my current employment, I am directing as second in command, reporting to the Founder and CEO of an innovative, mission-focused, consulting and technology company. I manage all 4 P&L centers, developing strategies to scale and grow the company. I also oversee 17 direct reports and 105 indirect reports, leading goal attainment and the project process.  Here, I provided stable and focused growth during the 2 years of Covid. I intentionally scaled for growth, visibility, and impact pre-Covid. I surpassed company goals and projections scaling 200% Operating Profit in one year with only 12% FTE added. In more specifics, I executed the business strategy based on the CEO’s vision.  I drove a 57% increase in net revenue from consulting projects through penetration of new markets. I also created profitable P&Ls for the first time in four years and averaged 95% of year-end goal at Q2, month 2. I skyrocketed sales conversion metrics by 100% YOY by implementing clear accountability and strategy. I also developed new business within sales and P&Ls resulting in 41% YOY growth in contracts. I shifted sales strategy, boosting profit 200%. I created onboarding and training for senior leadership as well as other positions. In addition, I developed and implemented departmental processes for accountability and created all project metrics. I created all forecasts for yearly revenue and projected growth.  Notably, I infused a culture shift, eliminating silos and tying strategy to revenue and the company’s success. I also eliminated dysfunction and high turnover and increased productivity, creating a company road map to build morale. Finally, I  translated the CEO’s vision into a synchronized business strategy and spearheaded the company’s first-ever comprehensive and aligned cross-functional business goals, strategies, project management and implementation of priorities, growing revenue 200% YOY.

Agile & Strategic Project Leadership: Re-envisioned and built the Evaluation Practice Area and implemented the SEL practice area. Pivoted entire product portfolio for immediate market needs during Covid-19 pandemic. Ensure highly effective field management, implementation success, growth, and expansion of LSI's Marzano Center, product and project management and design. Increased Evaluation services by 32% from 2019-2020.

Demonstrate empathy and high expectations for self and faculty. Maintained an average of 3.5/4.0 customer satisfaction rate for all services.

Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with other practice areas, sales, marketing, finance, and operations. Partner with Tech Developers to integrate and support multiple metric-based solutions. Serve as a field expert to districts nationwide, providing consulting and development in the areas of evaluation, core instruction, SEL, and equity.

In District 303, I led as the second in command of the entire organization. I directed the development of site initiatives, enhancing team engagement and work process implementation. I also managed 15 direct reports and an indirect team of 200.  In more detail, I enhanced talent by implementing successful training and onboarding programs for leadership and employees at all levels. I also served as FMLA coordinator, Title IX Officer, and Harassment Officer. I directed employee relations and the district’s performance review process. I also partnered with the Board of Education, supporting the district. I designed and executed programs including community and college partnerships. I also launched initiatives for instructional support by analyzing leading and lagging data, identifying negative trends, and incorporating expertise in best-practices. Moreover, I instituted a project managed review system for all district programs to ensure data supported ongoing use and positive student results. I led performance evaluation and recruitment (forecasting, hiring, on-boarding). I also optimized program areas by successfully administering budgets, maintaining facilities, and managing human capital, saving $.5M in one year. Furthermore, I oversaw the individual curriculum department and expenses. I also authored and managed federal grants and handled compliances for local and state. I performed financial planning for academics of the school district and added a daycare at a low cost, increasing the view as an employer of choice. I created opportunities for gifted students needing more challenges. Last but not least, I shifted long held systemic attitudes, providing equal academic opportunities in a very low-income district.

Focus on Equity: Eliminated barriers for AP and gifted course enrollment. Assessed faculty needs for development in instructional strategies, evaluation, and other educational areas to support all students. Modeled best-practice pedagogy and instructional strategies throughout faculty meetings and school improvement sessions. Spear-headed cross-district work to strengthen incoming students’ success. 

Evidence Based Decisions: Gained positive academic trends despite increase in free-reduced lunch and mobility. Implemented and monitored academic and literacy programs to identify needs of the student population. Designed educational programs tailored to student needs based on assessment data and social emotional and physical needs.
