Welcome- I am Melissa Bracero. I’m a half full, called, type A & exhorter leader that’s growing, pivoting and laughing daily! Three words that reflect me from per my family & team members- loyal, successful & scrappy. Melissa means honey bee which is a true reflection of my being. Fun Facts: My mother was stung by a bee coming out of the doctor’s office when she received news she was expecting me. Melissa Gilbert & Melissa Sue Anderson (Little House on the Prairie) were on the cover of TV Guide the week I was born. I was born on Mother’s Day. I’m a dynamic leader within the higher education ecosphere. Sales, account management and creating culture changes are my top leadership gifts. I have over 20+ years in management and big box store operations. I’m a 4th generation of entrepreneurial leaders from Marshall, Texas. I fell in love with sales, customers, solutions, and connecting at the age 6 when my parents opened their first retail store. A few of my passions are creating, serving and learning. I'm completely comfortable not having all the answers, blueprints or projections because at the end of the day it’s all about the calling, consistency and commitment to serve. A few things I know for sure, life is full of forgiveness, crooked lines and plenty of gray spaces that transition into the best views! I love history, science, self development, listening to personal stories of victories and wisdom offerings. Finally, I’m in a deep and committed relationship with coconut oil. Don’t judge- I put it my coffee, on my face and I clean my furniture with it. What brings me joy in my home office are dry erase boards, note pads, and felt tip pens! Seriously, dry erase boards change the entire game completely! In closing, my resume is my past. It’s my history and not my future.
