I am an educator with over 10 years of experience in planning, coordinating, and developing innovative solutions to address program challenges. I help achieve objectives through establishment of clear expectations, and I develop meaningful relationships through leading with emotional intelligence. I have a BA in English and strong written and verbal communication skills. Teaching through the pandemic has proven that I am a flexible colleague who welcomes the opportunity to learn new skills, as my team and I collaborated to quickly adapt to online instruction and new technology all while shepherding our young students through the same process. This past year I assumed a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) position for which there was no established curriculum. I combined multiple resources to craft a syllabus targeted to the ages and needs of 15 early childhood classes assuring the next teacher would have a framework from which to teach. I am passionate about diversity and inclusion, because after many years of teaching students of all backgrounds I know that everyone has something wonderful to offer and all people have inherent value. I believe our differences are what makes the world interesting, and I try hard to always be kind.
