Merelda is the co-founder and CEO of Melio AI, an MLOps consultancy that helps clients deploy and commercialize their AI projects. She has over 8 years of experience in data science, data engineering, and data analytics, working with various sectors such as banking, insurance, technology, healthcare, and manufacturing. She is an MLOps evangelist who is passionate about making AI frictionless by following the best practices of machine learning lifecycle management, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous monitoring. She is also the creator of Highwind, an AI marketplace that lets data scientists search, extend, buy, and sell their AI use cases. Highwind adopts a use case-centric approach to ensure that the packaged use cases on the marketplace are solving real business problems. Merelda's mission is to understand how businesses operate, experiment with different methodologies, and create tools to shape the ways humans interact with each other. She holds a BSc and MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand. She is a co-organizer of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation's Johannesburg chapter and an avid speaker.
