Blips go unnoticed, tiny typos change meaning and grammar mishaps interrupt flow, taking your carefully crafted content from yay to nay. Reading and reviewing your own work is hard, and we’re all human. But I’m here to help. 🟨 How does it work? There are two main ways I wipe away anxious word woes and enhance your writing: proof-editing and proofreading. 🟨 Proof-editing is my favourite way of working because it means we get to team up. I’ll suggest rewrites, remove repetition and improve readability. 🟨 Then there’s traditional proofreading, which has less of my creative input. But it’s still that crucial final polish to catch mistakes. Worried about handing over your wonderful words? You won’t find harsh critiques or scary rules here. Work with me as your proof-editor and we’ll collaborate so you keep complete ownership of your work. You’ll see every edit I make with tracked changes or "suggesting". I’ll add comments to explain what I’m thinking, and why, so you can check I’ve understood everything correctly and know I’m backing up my recommendations with reasons. I’ll offer alternatives and a fresh perspective if something doesn’t sound quite right, as well as telling you when it sounds like you’ve got it bang on! Of course, there are things I’ll always look out for – repetition, change of tense and confusable words. These are difficult to spot. But together we’ll polish the language, iron out errors and share tips and tricks so you improve your writing as you go. I pick people, not projects. If we think we’ll get on well, then it doesn’t matter if you’re a marketeer, copy or content writer or author. You can be anywhere in the world, in any sector, at senior or at start-up level. You’re a great writer. But even the best ones slip up sometimes.
