As a Copywriter and Creative Consultant with Spectrio, I wrote message on hold scripts, video scripts, and blog articles for local, regional, and national clients. This entailed consulting with customers, researching businesses and industries, and working with CSRs, talent, studio producers, and technical personnel to create an outstanding production. 

A completely customer-focused business, Spectrio serves tens of thousands of customers nationwide and still manages to give each customer the attention it deserves while producing hundreds of audio and video messages every day.

As always, I handled a diverse portfolio of clients. Any given day could find me writing scripts for a national restaurant distributor, an Atlanta oncology practice, a bank in Texas, a chain of nursing homes in California, a veterinarian in Indiana, a car dealership in Virginia, and a pizza place in Chicago. FastTrends was a B2B startup serving the brand licensing industry that fell victim to the bursting of the Internet bubble. 

I was hired as Senior Copywriter to write the website, manage content, and create industry news items with a humorous twist. Within two months, I was promoted to Communications Director and given responsibility for writing all of the company's marketing copy, including sales letters and our video for the Licensing trade show in NYC. 

Additional copywriting projects included new product development and naming. 

I trained, managed, and edited the work of a team of five that created promotional pages for our licensor members.

Over time, I also took over supervision of the production of our database intensive website that matched licensors to potential licensees, working closely with the software company Plural to shepherd the project to launch and plan the first set of revisions.

I was hired as the first in-house copywriter for the collectibles company best known for its mass direct marketing of Princess Diana postage stamps. 

My assignments included writing:
- Advertorial and display print ads
- Mail packages (letter/brochure/lift)
- TV spots
- Website copy

Print ads appeared in every major newspaper in the United States, including USA Today; New York Times, Post, and Daily News; Los Angeles Time, Chicago Tribune, etc.

Direct response sales letters reached tens of thousands of people each week.  

Most copy was for licensed products, and all licensed copy was required to meet strict licensing guidelines.

With the emergence of the Internet as a sales channel, I was assigned to manage the company's ecommerce store. In this position I wrote and managed all content and supervised third party creation of a new website which resulted in an immediate 400% increase in sales.
