He has served as a systems architect and engineer, project/program/product manager, business developer, entrepreneur, non-profit executive, and policy analyst. Throughout his career, he has been the first or second person through the door - understanding a customer's problem, outlining a solution, obtaining requests for white papers and proposals, leading/performing early-stage efforts (study contracts, R&D programs), growing foot-in-the-door efforts into larger programs, and writing/leading proposals for major systems. Mr. Fidelman's career dates to the earliest days of the ARPANET and Internet. Along the way he's worked on defense information systems, led R&D efforts, built the non-profit Center for Civic Networking, built an email & web service bureau, and developed funded R&D programs for several small companies. He is the Author of "All Out Internet Access: The Cambridge Public Library Model" (American Library Association, Technology Trailblazers Series), and Telecommunications Strategies for Local Government (Government Technology Press), and served as Editor & Publisher for the Journal of Municipal Telecommunications. He holds a Degree in Interdisciplinary Science (concentrations in EE, Computer Sci. Cognitive Psychology, Advanced Wizardry) from MIT - the Hogwarts of the Anthropocene, where “sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Specialties: Business Development and Proposal Preparation for Systems and R&D Programs. Systems Engineering for distributed, networked information systems, in operational environments.
