The days of the one or two-word comments are numbered!
 
LinkedIn’s new 360Brew engine no longer rewards engagement for engagement’s sake.  It reads text, analyses intent, and detects substance.

And a one or two-word comment gives it… nothing.

360Brew looks for semantic and contextual value. So if your comment carries no meaning, the model can’t classify you or your expertise, and the result is that LinkedIn will not show it to the right people.
 
 
One-word comments aren’t conversations either because they don’t spark replies, solicit dwell time, or spark discussion. They’re "drive-by" interactions, not relationship builders.

They hurt your positioning because these low-effort comments send a weak signal about your authority in a relevance-driven world. Weak signals mean weak reach.  And what do the people who get them think of you?

Yep, you lazy bum!

Real networking happens in the nuance of opinions, insights, questions, and lived experience. Those are the signals LinkedIn’s 360Brew uses to understand who you are.

The good news is that this will level the playing field. People who add value will win, while people who automate or template lose everything.

The Belgian LinkedIn Monitor is here again.  From membership to statistics, the cost of advertising, and new features.  I will also be looking at how Scandinavian countries compare to the Belgian numbers.

The last 30 days of the year are a struggle for some and a smooth ride for others when it comes to securing the final revenue needed to make the year a good or excellent one. I will try to finish my draft book by the end of the year.

Things are changing on LinkedIn. What you absolutely need to update for 360Brew:
 
Here are 7 items on your profile that need attention and possibly an update

1️⃣ Headline: Your headline must clearly state your niche because 360Brew uses it as your primary label to decide what your content is about and who should see it.

2️⃣ About: our About section needs sharp positioning and topic clarity so 360Brew can confidently categorize your expertise and match your posts to the right audience.

If these sections are vague, generic, or outdated, the engine cannot match your posts to the right audience, thereby reducing distribution.

3️⃣ Experience (top two roles): Your top roles must reflect your current expertise; otherwise, 360Brew will misclassify your authority and reduce the reach of content that doesn’t align with your job history.

4️⃣ Skills: Your skills section must reinforce your niche because 360Brew checks these signals to confirm what topics you are credible to talk about.

5️⃣ Banner: Your banner needs to visually communicate your value and niche so both humans and 360Brew instantly understand what you stand for in the first two seconds.

6️⃣ Profile photo: Your profile photo must be clear, professional, and trustworthy because 360Brew uses it as part of your credibility score before distributing your content.

7️⃣ Featured section (to anchor your niche): Your Featured section must anchor your niche with proof (posts, articles, videos, lead magnets) so 360Brew can validate your expertise and strengthen your relevance scoring.
