December 2017 saw the end of a 16 year career with Siemens Trains Radio where we maintained the Metronet analogue radio system for Sydney Trains. This network used a variety of Technologies needing expertise not only for radios but also in telecommunications, power, data, electronics and software. We had a challenging SLA requiring mission critical equipment to be restored in the city area within 90 min during peak to prevent the cancellation of services; with a 97% success rate, we were an industry leader in delivering service, that others had tried to match but failed. Prior to this I worked with Telstra, involved in the Customer First sector, the first serious attempt to roll out a modern broadband ADSL network, we connected customer up, resolving software, hardware and communication issues to deliver the service, replacing the existing dial up connection for internet access at the time. I want to continue my career in the service industry with qualification and experience in railway radio systems, communications, electrical, software and electronics
