Recognised as one of the most influential Black British Leaders in the Financial Times, I have over 20 years’ experience of the Executive Search industry, and an extensive global track record in primary and secondary banking and markets appointments, both on the sell and buy side. In 2010, I founded Barrington Hibbert Associates, an executive search, leadership development, and diversity advisory firm specialising in the recruitment, nurturing and retention of diverse teams. We are the longest established Black owned C-suite, executive firm in Europe. Our client activity spans the developed markets of EMEA and North America. While our executive search, diversity advisory and leadership development practices are essentially the pillar of the business, at its heart, Barrington Hibbert Associates is committed to enforcing the S in ESG and dedicated to creating a genuine social impact. We are strong believers in giving back and are committed to ensuring that people from diverse backgrounds have access to a wide range of opportunities. I am committed to driving for better diversity and inclusion within the City and beyond, and instil a belief in the importance of social impact, and levelling the playing field into all that Barrington Hibbert Associates do. I co-founded 10,000 Black interns; an initiative designed to help transform the prospects of young Black people in the United Kingdom by offering paid work experience across a wide range of sectors. The initiative provides training and development opportunities, as well as creating a sustainable cycle of mentorship and sponsorship for the Black community. I am also one of a group of cross-sector leaders from across the financial and professional services industry appointed to the Government backed City of London Corporation Socio-Economic taskforce. The taskforce seeks to increase socio-economic diversity at senior level across the UK. Challenging the continued lack of progression for those from non-professional backgrounds, the task force will also explore how this intersects with other facets of diversity including gender, race, and ethnicity. In 2022, in recognition of my services to promote executive search and diversity within Financial and Professional Services, I was awarded the Freedom of the City of London.
