I have served as Vice Chair of the Civil Justice Subcommittee and the Postsecondary and Workforce  Education Committees, the Republican Committee Whip for the Commerce Committee. I have also served on the Judiciary, Insurance and Banking, Tourism, Infrastructure & Energy, Finance and Facilities, and Justice Appropriations Subcommittees. I have a strong interest in preserving an independent judiciary that stays in its lane, preventing encroachment on the judiciary from the other branches of government, and protecting our constitution, Republican form of government, and the unborn.

Representative matters include litigation over the SeaWorld death tapes, representation of a pallet company against various backhaulers who stole client's property, representation of major manufacturer in products liability claims in several North Florida counties, representation of a major New York bank in litigation arising from the theft of its high frequency trading software, representation of a European hedge fund in securities and patent litigation, and representation of a whistlebower in qui tam and retaliatory defamation litigation.

Performed fact discovery on behalf of medical device manufacturer, resulting in favorable six figure settlement of nine figure claim, successfully persuaded New York City Human Rights Commission to initiate enforcement action against disabled client's landlord, assisted with the trial of the largest amount-in-controversy case in 2009 in the Southern District of New York, handled subpoena responses to federal and state regulators, reviewed documents and lending practices and counseled large banks, auditing firms, and financial institutions on legal issues relating to the subprime mortgage meltdown, counseled clients on various regulatory and white collar matters.

I am a Florida State Representative representing House District 57 (Southeast Hillsborough). I currently serve on the Judiciary, Judicial Appropriations, and Health Quality Committees. I am a compassionate constitutional conservative.

I handle high-stakes civil and criminal litigation.  I have developed a particular aptitude for litigation involving federal statutes (RICO, FLSA, Securities litigation, Federal Criminal, etc.). I have performed pro bono work on behalf of various disabled persons and have donated my time to conservative political and civil rights causes.  I have served on various boards and commissions.
