Experienced computer programmer with a passion for craftsmanship. I love making things that hone my existing skills or help me learn new skills. Along with my expertise in computers I have varying levels of experience and interest in business, electronics, fabrication (wood, metal, glass, plastic, textiles, etc), machine learning, search engines, big data, Internet services, psychology, assistive technology, robotics, wearables, mobile computing, and pretty much anything else involving technology or making things. My typical day involves working in Linux, Mac OS, Windows, and iOS; programming Bash shell, Python, PHP, Objective-C, and JavaScript; experimenting with making a few strange contraptions; studying odd topics ranging from ancient history to linguistics to encryption algorithms; and then showing my kids (6, 8, 10, and 13yo) how to do absolutely everything too. I see the world as magical and beautiful and just seek to contribute what I can and make life better for everyone.
