After more than two years of growing our community from a European-focused to a truly global organization, I am hyped for the exponential future of Sigma Squared and our Fellows.


The last two years have honestly been the most rewarding years professionally and personally. It has been deeply fulfilling to take the organization to new heights with a team of absolute rock stars from around the world.

Sigma Squared is about finding the best founders under the age of 26 on exponential paths (and most importantly) who are genuinely good people. And frankly, I think we now are the best in the world at that.

Fortunately, we have some numbers to prove it:

👉  Over 1.000 active Fellows worldwide

👉  Chapters running in over 30 countries on 5 continents

👉  Fellows raised over $1.8 billion for their ventures (90% after joining Sigma)

🔥 This means that, on average, our cohorts scale their achievements by a factor of 10 in the first 3 years after joining the community!


More importantly, Sigma Squared's greatest impact is yet to come - and it will be created by a new generation of leaders. 


I am so grateful to have worked with an incredible leadership team and to know that the organization will reach new heights with the executive board now consisting of Julia, Greta, Sebastian, Aleksandra and Anjali! 🔥 

Now I am excited to serve on the Supervisory Board, alongside Daniel W. Dippold and Emanuel Jöbstl, and to continue to help Sigma in any way I can (but from the quiet sidelines).

This is just the beginning! 🚀



The reasons for this move are simple: I am a builder at heart and it is time for me to get back to building companies - and something new is on the way.

The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all.


I can't overstate the power of these words from Richard Branson and the wisdom I received from the invited group this week.

It felt surreal to be back on Necker Island, not only next to Richard, but also impact-driven entrepreneurs and CEOs leading teams with thousands of people, creators with global reach, investors and overall wonderful people.

I am a firm believer that serendipity can be engineered and that you can increase the surface area of your luck.

That is exactly what happened this week.

I am super stoked to announce Julia Zhou as my successor at Sigma Squared Society!



I first met Julia three years ago on a legendary Sigma Squared trip to the Bulgarian seaside. I was instantly amazed by her empathy, clarity, and focus.

Over the past six years, Julia has played a key role in building Sigma Squared (and previously Kairos Society Europe), managing and building everything from the first Kairos Europe Summit to Communications, Partnerships & Operations.

All while building up her own company Tidal Impact, advising organizations on sustainability and impact, and investing in startups.

As we worked together on the board over the past two years, I was amazed again and again by Julia's operational excellence and her love for what Sigma stands for. It has been an honor to serve the community together.

I could not think of a better person to be the next President of Sigma Squared and to catapult Sigma to the next level.

I can't wait to see where Sigma will go under your leadership. I wish you all the best for the role, Julia!

Great rewards in life often come from great coincidences. The word serendipity describes this quite well.

I believe it’s possible to widen your surface area of serendipity and make luck happen to you on a more regular basis.
