•	Direct the development and implementation of Library goals, policies, and strategic plan; manage the allocation of resources and service levels to meet residents’ needs

-	Work with library managers in evaluating the delivery of library services and programs and implement improvements consistent with community needs, trends and best practices and the library’s strategic plan.
-	Participate in personnel management including recruitment and selection, performance goal setting, training and mentoring.
-	Consult and cooperate with city library managers on aspects of library operations and strategize alternatives for dealing with the problems, and implementation of solutions, as necessary.
-	Assist in the preparation and administration of the Library's budget.
-	Perform a variety of special assignments such as the preparation of complex analytical and statistical reports in all areas of library management.
