Objective: to provide thought-provoking questions, hypotheses, data, evidence, advice, and ideas in a work-place setting, to enhance every single employee's decision-making ability, so that it is second nature and automatic. As a classically trained statistician, I “play in other people’s back yards”. Historical transcripts and test scores for reference: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-24O54NVS348IXP6s-RvvTK7MnXQjVvV?usp=sharing Experienced data scientist who can communicate directly and to the point, where other analytics specialists or researchers can’t. Able to translate complicated concepts into easy to understand stories, with real life examples. Uses data and evidence to back up every single conclusion or professional opinion from every possible angle. Loves to mentor any type of junior, or senior, level employees on how data works in the corporate world, the politics of data, and how to navigate conflicting priorities, to name a few. Experience in nearly all industries, ranging from: government, consulting, media, manufacturing, and financial services. Fields of work including: survey program administration and management, employee + customer listening, complex data analysis, proposal and grant writing, and teaching. With roles ranging from: technical expert, subject matter expert, “lone wolf” statistician, data and stats mentor, and a sage to executives needing to know what other executives at their company, and others, are doing and thinking. Able to keep and hold highly confidential and private data on a need-to-know basis and able to read between the lines of what decision makers need to give them all the confidence in the world in their gut-decisions, with the goods to back it up. Able to code and program in variety of languages and systems, like R, SAS, SPSS, SQL, and so on. Ask me about it, I’ve probably done it or used it before! (And hint- most are 75% the same with a few exceptions, and just a different way to do the same thing.) To conclude: able to find, collect, interpret, and distribute data, say what’s going on, and give definitive and decisive advice about what to do next. Will always cover all possible bases for you. (Or, can figure out what bases the *other* guy didn’t.) Just allow me access to the original data source, or allow me to collect something from scratch, and I’ll tell you what’s going on. Master's Degree (M.S.) Survey Methodology (Statistical Science) from University of Maryland - 2006, Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) Statistics from Penn State University - 2009.
