Michelle is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience working in Government. She is highly educated and a Subject Matter Expert on Workplace Wellbeing & Culture, having won several awards, including Regional and State Work Health & Safety Champion, Workcover Work Health, & Safety (Wellbeing), and the prestigious National 'Light Up Award' for Outstanding Achievement in WHS & Wellbeing for the Australian Public Service in November 2022 In 2020, Michelle became the Integral Community Kindness Champion for the Stay Kind Foundation, where she developed several highly successful community projects, including the 50 Walks Project and the Bathers Way 50. In 2022, NSW State Member Mr Tim Crakenthorp mentioned Michelle in NSW Parliament for her outstanding achievements within her community in raising significant funds and awareness of mental health during the C19 pandemic. In October 2022 to promote Mental Health Month, Michelle held a charity event called the 'Elephant in the Room,' which raised over $25,000 for Lifeline. Michelle founded She Inspires Me, on International Women’s Day in March 2023, which aligns with the NSW Government Women's Strategy 2023-2026. The strategy targets three key priorities and aims to improve outcomes for all women, with specific greater disadvantages. The #tellyourstory initiative empowers women to share their stories with others to raise awareness of the challenges women face in our community to create change in our country. Michelle promotes women on her social media and website where she has received messages from people all over the world who have been inspired by the stories shared. 'She Has The Courage to Lead' podcast series which she cohosts with Allan Sicard, promotes inspiring women across the country who are making a difference in the lives of others.
