A Two-Year Journey in the Automotive Industry

From 2021 to 2023, I had the opportunity to grow and evolve within the dynamic environment of a car retail, transitioning from the admin department in my first year to the sales department in my second year. Each phase brought unique responsibilities and invaluable lessons.

In the admin department, I developed a meticulous approach to managing loan applications. My role involved:
📄 Ensuring all documentation was accurate and complete.
🏦 Submitting loan applications to finance companies and banks efficiently.
✅ Maintaining clear communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to guarantee a seamless process.
📞Coordinating and communicating with the salesman on their customers' individual loan status.
🗣️To negotiate with the banker to get the highest loan amount possible.
🌻Let the bankers know the customer's decision and have them issue the Approval Advise before COE bidding.
✍🏻Tabulate an excel list of customers to bid for COE.


As I moved into sales, the challenge shifted to customer engagement and driving results. My key contributions included:
📞 Following up and qualifying leads via WhatsApp and phone calls.
📅 Setting appointments and building trust with potential customers.
🤝 Negotiating deals that frequently led to first-attempt sales success.
✍️ Overseeing final paperwork for COE bidding and preparing accessories for customers.

Through dedication and a customer-centric approach, I managed to close $2 million in sales. This achievement wasn’t just about numbers; it reflected the relationships I built with customers, the trust I earned, and the value I provided throughout the buying process.

This role taught me the importance of adaptability, clear communication, and delivering exceptional customer experiences—skills I carry with me as I look forward to new opportunities.

From Fish Dumplings to Life Lessons: My Entrepreneurial Journey

In 2019, I leapt into the unknown. With no prior experience, I opened a fishball noodle stall in a local coffee shop—a passion project fueled by nothing but ambition and grit.

The turning point? A glowing review by Dr. Leslie Tay from ieatishootipost. That single spotlight turned into viral attention, bringing us praise from food bloggers, public figures like MP Sylvia Lim, and a wave of curious customers.

Recognizing the power of social media, I threw myself into learning how to amplify our reach. Platforms like Instagram and Facebook became my tools of trade:
🎯 Strategic posts to highlight our artisan fish dumplings.
🤝 Collaborations with influencers to build credibility.
💬 Engaging content to connect with our growing audience.

The result? A 4x increase in business and a loyal customer base—all from the magic of a well-told story and genuine connection.

But life had other plans. When my father was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, I chose to prioritize what mattered most: my family. I paused the business to care for him and later closed it following his passing.

This chapter taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of following your passion, even when the odds are stacked against you. Today, I’m carrying forward these lessons, armed with social media expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit, ready for my next adventure.
