No one cares what my skills are. I’ve been in several marketing departments and not one understood how to talk to their own audience. I don’t like that. People aren’t stupid. They know when you are using tactics. What if you looked at your audience as smart, witty, and observant and offered them value instead of shoving ads in their face? I like writers because they are thoughtful and considerate. My goal is to help them find ways to promote their books without being cringey. The goal is to be relatable and human not a robot force feeding marketing material that sounds like a used car salesman wrote it.
