Responsibilities included:
•	Commercial modeling in Excel to build business cases and track benefits
•	Liaise with senior stakeholders from across the organization to deliver management information, cost controls, and commercial effectiveness with regard to the channel
•	Executive Committee reporting on benefits expected verse realized
•	Business Partner to the virtual channel platform and product owners
•	Custodian of the channel budget of £150m-(operating and investment cost).  
	Alignment of strategy with Key Performance Indicators to measure business and individual project performance to budget commitments
	Monitoring project benefits to support capitalization of cost in line with budget commitments
	Cost control and efficiency creation

                 Key achievements:
•	Developed a business case tracking methodology to ensure resources were effectively used
•	Tasked with understanding the call center environment with a view to streamline operations and reduce cost. Findings resulted in a change to the operating model, as well as, a re-direction of functionality to more cost-effective digital channels.  A 10% notional cost saving was noted

Responsibilities included:
•	Reporting business performance, key value drivers and variance analysis
•	Maintaining data and MI systems – Tableau, Excel and SQL
•	Providing the business with the necessary information and insight to manage the business
•	Commercial modelling and analytics for business cases 
•	Provide insights to executives around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability
•	As a Management Committee member, I was involved in the end to end business operations, including, but not limited to, product development, investment decisions, contract assessments, system stability and customer experience. 

Key achievements:
•	Implemented a self-service reporting tool (Tableau), empowering the business and creating analyst capacity which was used on value add projects
•	Moved analytics capabilities from an external supplier, in house thus safe-guarding the banks intellectual property.  An immediate 10% cost reduction was noted with additional future savings expected
•	Led the team which developed the optimal product structure to deliver cost efficiencies and customer satisfaction. Models were used for executive approval. The new program was launched to market in 2017. Cost was reduced by 30% with increased profitable customer behaviour.
•	Provided the analysis and participated in the re-negotiation of major partner arrangements.

Responsibilities included:
•	Provide month end management packs including key performance indicators, trend analysis and finance dashboards 
•	    Built annual budget models in Excel and performed monthly revised forecasts 
•	Monitored and reported actual performance to budget 
•	Streamline and automate financial processes
•	Balance sheet management and reconciliations
•	Provide expert financial advice and challenge the business to support decision making that achieves financial targets and strategy
•	Take the lead on financial decision support and analytics with a focus of value delivery, cost control and risk mitigation
•	Support the negotiation of large customer contracts
•	Maintain commercial controls

Key achievements:
•	Implemented a targeted sales strategy to penetrate fee generating customer segments, resulting in reduced revenue leakage and efficiency in the sales cost
•	Halved the cost paid to an external supplier by correcting erroneous billing data
•	Presented a case to the South African Revenue Service for the loyalty program to claim full VAT credits, and not be deemed part of the financial institution for VAT purposes. The program there-after claimed VAT in full opposed to on the apportionment method

•	Reporting to the Divisional CFO
•	Specific duties included: 
	Custodian of the budget process, supporting business is modelling realistic targets while achieving the required growth
	Month end financial transactions e.g. accruals, depreciation, prepayment
	Reconciliation of line of business systems to financial system
	Balance sheet management and reconciliations
	Preparation of monthly management accounts with financial analysis
	Manage stakeholders including but not limited to suppliers, senior management, internal and external audit

Responsibilities included:
•	Posting of all journal entries and reconciliation of all control accounts
•	Overseeing the full monthly, quarterly and annual close process; validation of completeness and accuracy of the financial submission

•	The division’s technical expert on accounting standards to allow assessments of complex transactions and propose accounting treatment
