I lead the Technology Services Practice at Kennedy & Company. I work with a team that battles friction - the friction that impedes students that are interested in higher education from receiving thoughtful, engaging opportunities with the colleges and universities that interest them; friction that presents students with hurdles and obstacles while enrolled at their institutions; the friction staff and faculty face when trying to understand the complexities of a student's experience, and to navigate the realm of siloed departments and layered processes - all performed ineffectively with poorly implemented and adopted, and/or outdated technology.

If you know this industry, you know the battle is real, and it is mighty. Yet as each battle is fought and won, it brings great pride and joy for our team and our clients, and that is why we return to this work each and every day.

I don't help institutions implement technology, I help them ADOPT technology. Yes, that includes implementation, and it also includes training. But the focus is adoption. To adopt technology successfully, you have to focus on the people that use the technology and the experience you want them to have. You have to let those key ingredients drive the implementation; you have to push for changes in process, behavior, routines and all of the other mess that hold people back from seeing the value, benefit and opportunity that lies in front of them. This is the work I lead (and love) every day.

Best Bites

Co-creator, co-host and producer of a local TV show, Best Bites.  Take viewers behind-the-scenes of local, non-franchised restaurants in Berks and neighboring Counties to meet the owners and head chefs.  We bring the cameras into the kitchens to see what goes into the best dishes in our area, ask the chefs and owners about their passions for food, tips for cooking great dishes and other questions viewers want to know. With a focus in higher education, serve as a principal consultant, helping strengthen recruitment practices, developing marketing and communications plans, re-thinking service models and implementing new strategies that better engage and convert prospects as well as retain current students/clients.  

In the fall, 2016, Fourth Dimension Partners merged with Kennedy and Company Education Strategies to support its continued growth, and complement the spectrum of enrollment services provided to clients.

Responsible for the vision and direction of educational, for-credit programs for adult students enrolled in the College's accelerated degree programs.  Oversee the enrollment management, marketing and outreach, and administrative support services for nine campus locations.

North Carolina School of the Arts

Oversaw the residential and non-academic services for the high school population enrolled and living on the NCSA campus. Directed a professional and paraprofessional staff living in the residence halls to ensure adequate support was provided for 250 artistic teenagers to help them succeed in their art and academic endeavors.

Oversaw the new student orientation programs, managed a residence hall for 300 students and handled judicial cases for students violating code of conduct.

I lead the technology services practice at Kennedy & Company. Our team assists colleges and universities in the selection, implementation, customization and integration of various CRM technologies, including Salesforce, TargetX, Slate and others. 

We lead projects of all sizes for public and private two and four-year institutions.

Whether I'm working hands-on in an enrollment strategy project, leading a CRM implementation or speaking at a conference, the goal is the same - to help higher ed professionals implement technologies, strategies & tactics that engage and enroll more students.
