Being a forensic specialist, I see the world differently than a lot of people. I see evidence and relationships between things that are often overlooked. There is a lot of talk on LinkedIn these days about “What is your superpower." My “superpower” is taking the seemingly complex things in a situation and converting it to the simple and understandable. This results in findings, reports, diagrams, and courtroom presentations that are practical, understandable and applicable. My philosophy is that the evidence speaks for itself and if the client or the jury does not understand the issues after I have finished, I have not done my job. This also plays out in my public speaking and teaching. I am a dynamic and engaging speaker. I am passionate about what I do! I believe in making the topic understandable to the listener so that they enjoy it and leave with a good grasp of what I have been presenting. I do forensic analysis on criminal, civil and traffic collision cases and to find overlooked details. My multi-faceted background over the years gives me the experience necessary to see these overlooked details. In today’s world of budget shortages, personnel shortages, too much work for the time available and other factors, important details are commonly being overlooked. I don’t believe it is with malicious intent, however, I do believe it is important to see these details. A case analysis can show critical information that completely changes the outcome of the case. Sometimes, more is read into the statements or the evidence than what is really there. Sometimes, my case analysis leads to a scene reconstruction to demonstrate the critical issues. My job is to present what the evidence really says. For me, it is truly rewarding to use my skills to substantially help someone.
