Embedded in SW Appalachia division, primarily supporting Land, Geology, Reservoir and Drilling groups with GIS analysis and map based reports. Highlights include:

- Automating depth severance analysis in ArcMap using grids of formation depths from Kingdom and formation and depth descriptions from TEL and spreadsheets.

- Writing advanced label expressions in python for better presentation of well lateral and lease information.

- Actively learning python data science tools (ex: numpy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.) to utilize them with GIS to better manipulate, analyze and report against various E&P data with a spatial component.

Provided back office GIS support including python scripting, GIS desktop/server software installation, upgrading, maintenance and planning. GIS web site creation using Geocortex, and spatial analysis in GIS and Spotfire. Highlights include:

- Designing, developing and running SWN's 2015 Geospatial Technology Fair. This included engaging vendors and internal business groups for poster and presentation sessions. This was on my "career bucket list", very thankful to have had this opportunity.

- Working with Water and Planning teams to help design tools and capabilities around the routing of personnel and field assets.

This included support and back office staff along with embedded GIS resources in Land and Surface Engineering (Midstream activities). Highlights include:

- Developing and documenting GIS workflows around Land (ex: data creation standards and tracking issues).

- Developing and documenting the service model used to support the web GIS application created while at Petrohawk.

Managed GIS group in IT focusing on the development of GIS web capabilities (general  GIS web tool and departmental dashboards) and integration with various well systems. Did some python scripting to support ETL tasks between SDE and vendor data. Highlights include:

-	Worked with development team to design a general GIS web tool  that had basic capabilities that are usually only associated with desktop GIS (ex: plotting, adding spatial data on the fly, linking existing map layers to eternal data (Excel or RDBMS) and symbolizing on linked attributes).

-	Developed workflows to keep land grid up to date with surveyor information and propagating the changes through various departments including Exploration, Land and Drilling.

Managed GIS group in IT focusing on integration of GIS with Land (TLS) and Geoscience systems (PETRA, GESx, Landmark). Also performed GIS desktop/server software installation, upgrading, maintenance and planning. Highlights include:

- developed pipeline GIS standards to meet regulatory requirements like T4 submittals in TX which included the training and support of field personnel across the US.

- developed and supported company’s imagery needs including the purchase, storage and deployment of approximately 12 TB of satellite/aerial photos and USGS scanned quads (DRGS). This included maintaining a central imagery server with remote servers in division offices. At the time, this almost doubled the total amount of digital data in the company.

- helped support and administer SpotFire, SDE (9.2 on Oracle 10g) and developed various scripts in Avenue, SQL, PERL and other tools to support ETL and business analysis. Examples include lease mineral interest and creating map layers to analyze lease provisions like continuous drilling and minimum production required.

Consulted mainly at EOG Resources, but also maintained/extended in-house developed label placement tool for ArcView 3.x written in Avenue.

GIS desktop/server software installation, upgrading, maintenance, planning and support. ETL scripts (Avenue, AML, C-shell, PERL) to/from SDE and Geoscience packages like GESx 97 (including TLS to LDF (Lease Data Format used in Lease Data module), written prior to P2's Tobin to GeoGraphix Import).

Moved into web development group after company restructure and help develop departmental web sites (HTML and javascript) along with database creation in Sybase and Oracle.
 
GIS desktop/server software installation, upgrading, planning and support. Supported ArcView users and developed ArcView extensions based on business needs. For example, wrote an energy marketing analysis extension which allowed users to track competitor/client information, acquisitions and energy usage. This required tying in diverse data sets and linking spatial data (shapefile and SDE) with data stored in RDBMS tables (Oracle and SQL Server) based on user queries
