Leading redevelopment of site to create active online student portal. Responsibilities included commissioning, writing and editing material, sourcing images and working with development team to optimise site functionality.

As Editor, I directed the promotion of partner content on the network, overseeing the editorial team to ensure titles and thumbnails were optimised for engagement based on traffic trends. As well as working to optimise yield based on data analysis, my duties also included directing the network's social media accounts and running market and competitor analysis.

Prior to this, I worked as Content Manager for EnvironmentalGraffiti.com (Jun 2010 - Mar 2012) within the same organisation, where I was responsible for creating and managing viral content for EG and 20+ clients. This included closely tracking performance and results, and generating numerous posts hitting 200,000+ pageviews. The position incorporated the management and recruitment of freelancers, as well as collaboration with the EG community to develop user-generated content.

As lead shift sub-editor, I was responsible for managing the site's front pages and writing and editing entertainment and showbiz news articles. Duties included proofing raw copy for fluency and accuracy, writing eye catching headlines and standfirsts, managing the site’s remote team and implementing SEO and tagging.

Responsible for proofing print content for the web, writing effective headlines and standfirsts to style, and applying SEO. Worked to deploy several commercial projects, developing content links with partner sites.

Also worked on the site's keywording team, developing a comprehensive tag set to cover the paper's online archive.

As overnight moderator worked to remove offensive and libellous posts, responding to user queries and tracking trouble spots on the site. Received professional legal and community training targeted to the role.
