As leader of the Plant The Seed Project, my main focus is cultivating relationships with schools and other community partners. I am also hands-on in the implementation of our Youth Farmstand and Garden-to-Cafeteria programming.  We focus on showing youth how to grow in different media, harvest, sell and cook produce. At the market, I function as an on-site manager for the developer. I open and close the market. My goal is to retain all current tenants and keep them satisfied in these turbulent times. Our team makes sure that the market is clean and that all patrons and vendors are following regulations regarding the current pandemic. It is also vital to ensure all equipment, specifically walk-ins, lighting, and gas ranges are functioning to the best of their ability. With this comes the responsibility to make sure food safety practices are followed as well. I also resolve any and all disputes/issues that may arise through the course of the day.

For this role, I managed the 4000 sq ft rooftop farm developed by Bio-Logical Capital in Larimer Square. I was also tasked with overlaying programming to interface with the general public. During my time, I served as a point of contact and spokesperson for the Larimer Uprooted rooftop farm. We developed a pathway for introducing produce grown on the roof in schools through a relationship with Slow Food Denver. In terms of events, we hosted potlucks, happy hours and movie screenings for the community, local officials and partner organizations.
