I firmly believe climate change and biodiversity loss are the greatest challenges of our time threatening life as we know it. Today, following decades of insufficient actions, we stand before a crossroad; Either we continue business as usual which means altering Earth’s climate further, continuation of ecosystem collapse, and loss of millions of non-human species. Or, alternatively, we radically transform our way of life to stay within the planetary boundaries of Earth. I want to do my part to contribute to the latter. To bring about the necessary change, I studied sustainable development at university and now work as a climate and sustainability advisor. I advise private and public organizations on how to decarbonize and minimize their environmental footprint and have experience with investing in and scaling sustainable solutions fit for a low carbon society as an active investor in green start-ups. My work with sustainability has exposed me to multiple industries including retail, pharma, manufacturing, technology, renewable energy, private equity, and the public sector. In terms of competencies, I have experience with crafting climate, ESG, offsetting, circularity, and biodiversity strategies, calculating CO2e baselines and decarbonization cost roadmaps, performing LCAs, running ESG DDs and calculating sustainability business cases.
