One of the biggest challenges that I had as a Branch Manager was finding rockstar Pest Control Technicians. It was a tough job to hire for because it is a dirty sweaty hard job in the Texas sun. I had a lot of people apply for the job, but most of the resumes weren't ready for a pest control type environment. I spent hours going through resumes and setting up interviews. I even started double booking interview times because I had some many candidates not show up to an interview. I knew that if I booked two or three people for one-time slot only one of them would show up.

Recruiting great salesman was my biggest job before the summer. Finding someone that will be a successful door to door salesman is really tough. I talked with a lot of people and most of them weren't willing to put in the effort to become a great salesman. I opened and managed a new pest control branch in New York in 2015, securing their initial customers. I trained sales teams in cold contacting and one-on-one sales techniques. I motivated sales team members to work hard and reach personal and team sales goals, and earned the Overall Leadership Award in 2014. I recruited sales teams to secure service contracts for local companies in Connecticut and New York and worked with city officials to secure proper licensing for sales activities.
