Kia ora 👋🏾 Ko Milly tōku ingoa. Hi, my name is Milly. A country bumpkin from New Zealand who heard the world calling. For the past decade, I've been slowly exploring 65+ countries; building businesses around the world that make an impact. Before I turned 30, I co-owned a hostel in Thailand, co-founded a wine tour in Australia, and launched an illustration agency in the UK. As a creative generalist, I thrive in the start-up world, finding my groove in the midst of chaos and opportunity. My previous role, the Director of Misc, was the catalyst for the next chapter of my squiggly career story. Today you'll find me on a remote Scottish island, with a population of just 178, where I'm building Generalist World – a platform for people who, like me, who thrive at the intersections of domains and disciplines. Through my work with Generalist World, my job is to advocate for underrepresented founders and champion those overlooked in tech. I'm passionate about crafting strategies that challenge conventional thinking, driving digital innovation, and sharing stories that inspire. I lead with empathy, and build my company openly and transparently, sharing the ups and downs along the way. I work with generalists, schools, universities and companies to forge strategic partnerships and strengthen the generalist ecosystem.
