With more than 27 years of experience (12/2022) I've tried dozens of Jury trials to verdict with overwhelming success. At the appellate level, I've prevailed before both the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the Minnesota Supreme Court, resulting in numerous state laws and state action declared unconstitutional. Other defense attorneys routinely hire me as a consultant to help them defend their clients. This includes an array of duties from reviewing discovery to formulate litigation strategy, conducting direct and cross examination of experts, and first chairing trials. I also teach other lawyers at both the state and national level. I'm grateful to be recognized as the only Board Certified DWI Defense Lawyer in Minnesota by the American Bar Association (this is not yet recognized by MSBA), Board Certified in Criminal Defense, and as a Forensic-Lawyer Scientist by the American Chemical Association (not MSBA).
