Driven, ambitious, hungry. Passionate designer and a geek at heart. I believe great products are about offering great experiences, putting user at the center and working at the intersection of technology, design and business. Currently working on building products at scale, I've gone from being a developer to a designer, design technologist, a user researcher to a product manager. Not a fan of titles as they box us, I love tackling challenging problems. I'm a builder first who enjoys working across the product cycle, taking an idea from zero through research, conceptualization, design and building it, iterating throughout and finally seeing it launch. It's challenging, but that's what makes it fun. With a Master's in HCI, and a bachelors in computer science & finance, my speciality lies in bridging the technical and business worlds with great product design at the heart of it, while collaborating with stakeholders from different disciplines. Before the what or how, comes the why, which forms the core of any product. And it all starts with knowing your user and research. As Nielsen said - "Look at people do, not what they say." I feel part of my job as a product leader is to read things that are not yet in the page. An area I'm passionate about is finance - I believe universal access to the financial ecosystem is key to improving people's lives. In the past, I've worked on a QR code payment app, studied handshake protocols for payments, and done a thesis on banking the unbanked using smart contracts for P2P loans. Another area I've worked on a lot is design systems as it provides me an opportunity to bring together the world of design and code. Areas I'd like to explore further are decentralized and open finance systems, self-driving cars, AI, and design systems. Most recently, I've been leading an analytics platform at Real Chemistry in the health tech space, growing the product, team and revenue. In past, I've had the good fortune of working across industries building a travel & checkout platform, designing an education app for critical thinking, and an industrial design software. My experience has been divided between mobile apps and progressive web apps. I've also worked on enterprise platforms as that provides a different opportunity to solve macro problems at scale. Apart from this, I've done a startup in governance, built a payments app, worked on a crowdsourcing platform, and designed for a sports betting startup, each starting off as side projects.
