Our research focuses on understanding the function of the Cby1 gene. The Cby1 gene encoding for the Chibby protein has previously been reported to be a tumor suppressor gene due to its inhibitory role in the Wnt pathway. Phenotypes of Cby1 KO show a significant reduction in skeletal size, indicating Cby1 may also play a role in skeletal development. Therefore, we are interested in understanding Cby1's function in skeletogenesis.
