Living at the intersection of Employer Brand, Recruiting, and Communications, I know that growing companies grow because of how much their people thrive. With 5+ years in Talent Brand and 10+ in Marketing/Comms and HR, I realize there's no road map to making candidates and your employees love your company (again), but that's what I can do for you. Working at a large company with 250,000 coworkers taught me how to navigate complex global hierarchies and how to lead without authority. Small wins were big because of how many stakeholders I managed for every little thing. My favorites were showing fantastic results from tactics people originally didn’t want to try, and building a Global Employer Brand social media program from the ground up, eventually managing a budget of $1MM. Resources aside, I thrive at smaller (<10K) companies. Once having only 9 coworkers, I look back and marvel at all we got done. I love the faster pace, the smaller amount of red tape, and the startup mentality. Fail fast, learn daily, collaborate often, work hard, remain curious, constantly iterate, and be nice to people. That’s not quite frame worthy, but does encompass what I aim to do every day. In every single corporate job, I have grown the scope of the role. Challenges and defining gray areas are exciting, not scary, and I love working on new-to-me initiatives. Finding additional areas of impact and working with people all across the company to create improvements is something I get to do?! Not everyone loves their job, but I’m fortunate to be passionate about employer branding, employee engagement, and communications.
