Experienced Vascular Access Specialist, with a focus on building fundamental knowledge of Vascular Access across multiple clinical disciplines, evolving evidence-based practice, and providing vessel preserving access support at a large regional academic university health center. Currently supports the development and practice of Vascular Access Specialists and actively performs evidence-based Vascular Access support for patients. Our team has achieved and sustained zero CRBSI in the PICCS/Midlines we have placed for >5 years. Our team has expanded our practice to place PICC lines in neonates as well as CVCs in adults. With our team’s support, our CLABSI rate was reduced to only two infections in 2019. Since 2020 and the pandemic, we have encountered four cases of CLABSI.
