RESPONSIBILITIES

* Partnering with hiring managers across Technology, UX Design and Product to understand the requirements for current openings, maintaining a consultative approach at all times
* Proactively attracting, engaging and hiring the best tech talent in the market through a variety of sourcing channels  
* Building a scalable, partnership-driven recruitment infrastructure with a range of initiatives across talent attraction, talent management, training and employer branding

* Providing concise reporting to key stakeholders and using data to inform recruitment decisions

Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

OneWeb

OneWeb is a telecommunications start-up, revolutionizing the satellite industry by building a global communications network with a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide Internet connectivity to people all around the world. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Leading the end to end recruitment for the UK 
* Directly sourcing candidates across Satellite and Network Operations, Cloud & IT, Information Security, Web Development, Commercial, Sales and Marketing, Systems Engineering, and Product Innovation
* Working with the management team to suggest the most suitable workforce planning strategies; 
* Supporting the creation of Workplace of Excellence by playing a significant part in influencing OneWeb's culture in the London office and collaborating on the new starter on-boarding and employee well-being initiatives;
* Connecting with the relevant groups (e.g. UK Space Agency, Women in Aerospace, etc.) to strengthen OneWeb’s presence in the European space and satellite communications talent market;
* Significantly reducing reliance on recruitment agencies;
* Driving the outreach and employer branding initiatives;
* Identifying and collaborating with the relevant tech/ business communities and academic bodies to support diversity and inclusion initiatives for OneWeb;
* Coaching hiring managers on the recruitment and interviewing best practices; acting as the to go person for the market data, bench-marking, and talent acquisition trends.

HIGHLIGHTS

* Established the UK’s first internship program;
* Contributed to the development of Interview Best Practice training for line managers;
* Represented OneWeb at the Diversity in Space Conference at the Royal Astronomical Society;
* Developed a strong PSL to ensure speed, and deliver critical resources at scale;
* Secured funding for projects in GNOC as part of the UKSA's SPINtern Internship Programme;
* Helped OneWeb become finalist in 2019 Employee Benefits Awards;
* Managed the RFP process for our Platforms team. 

UK Talent Acquisition Lead

Cognifide (a WPP company) is a digital consultancy that delivers technical solutions for enterprise clients using the Adobe AEM and Sitecore platforms. 

I was brought in to Cognifide to set up the recruitment function from scratch and to engage with Global Practice Heads in the UK, the US, South Africa and Poland to improve talent attraction and employer branding strategies and devise the most relevant partnerships to support the company's growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Line management of Talent Acquisition Manager & HR Manager;
* Ownership of the employer branding and talent acquisition activities in the UK, the US, and South Africa;
* Direct sourcing of candidates across Technology, Project Management, Business Analysis, Management Consulting, Business Development, Sales & Marketing;
* Speaking at relevant industry events (RL100, BIMA Digital Day, WPP Leadership Summit, Kingston University, TechMix Digital Careers, Makers Academy);
* Ownership of the strategic direction of Cognifide's recruitment/on-boarding/induction/probation, and quarterly performance reviews;
* Championing Digital Academy for recent graduates (including talent attraction, assessment, interviewing and on-going improvement to the structure and content of the scheme);
* Promoting a positive candidate experience.

HIGHLIGHTS

* 2017 - directly sourced permanent and contract employees generating a total recruitment cost saving of £463,770 
* 2016 - directly recruited all permanent hires and nearly tripled the recruitment cost saving from £105,780 in 2015 to £278,385
* Orchestrated the delivery of the 1st recruitment video for the Digital Academy 2017
* Entered Cognifide for the In-house Recruitment Awards 2017 in 3 categories: Best Graduate Recruitment Strategy, Best On-boarding, Best Recruitment Video and became a finalist in all three of them;
* Introduced New Starter Welcome Pack 
* Revamped the Induction Process in London & New York
* Designed and implemented our 1st graduate scheme

I joined RedCat Digital as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant focusing initially on all the areas of the business. Since June 2013 I started specializing in product and technology related opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Sourced top talent for positions in Web and Mobile Apps Development, Content Management and Editorial, Project/Product/Propositions Management, Sales and Business Development, as well as Information/Cyber Security and Fraud Management for both agency and client side;

HIGHLIGHTS

In January 2014 generated £19,450 for the business and consequently achieved 121% of the monthly target.
