Professional Summary I have transitioned from fulfilling roles as a Special Agent and Arabian Gulf Citizen Ambassador to a rewarding career as a Neuroscience Therapist. These skills are integral to my role as a therapist. Therapeutic Approach I utilize neuroscience to educate clients on how the brain influences their feelings, thoughts, actions, and reactions. Relationship issues • Suicide ideation • TBI and moral injury Career Journey My journey began with involvement in a veterans and first responders support group and the “Team Never Quit” podcast by Navy SEALs. Learning about high veteran suicide rates motivated me to pursue a master’s in clinical psychology at Pepperdine University. During my practicum at a Federal Law Enforcement agency, I provided crisis management and grief counseling to Special Agents and their families. I also assisted military members with PTS, TBI, and Moral Injury, culminating in a master’s thesis on these subjects. To date, I have spent six years coaching and counseling First Responders and SpecOps clients. International Relations Experience My career in International Relations began with graduate studies at UCLA in Arabic and Mid-East studies. This education and regional experience positioned me as a subject matter expert in Arabian Gulf culture. I served as a Citizen Ambassador and Cultural Liaison for the State Department, promoting cross-cultural understanding. I also founded a successful Arabian Gulf Homestay business, teaching acculturation skills to 140 ESL students, fostering their independent living skills, knowledge of American values, and cultural etiquette. Department of Defense Service For over 19 years, I worked for the Department of Defense. As a Special Agent, I recovered $94M through weapons systems fraud prosecutions. I conducted critical interviews in both Arabic and English to obtain valuable intelligence, to prevent terrorism.
