Global Underwater Hub

My new role still involves assisting the events and communications teams with the planning and delivery of industry events, supported and hosted by Global Underwater Hub. 

I now have the additional responsibility of leading on smaller scale events hosted in Aberdeen, for example our members-only 'Industry in Discussion' events which host around 30-35 attendees and speakers. Leading on these type of events includes a variety of tasks throughout planning and up to delivery on the day. Including sales and budget monitoring using programmes in Microsoft Dynamics and Sharepoint. This has allowed me to develop my skills using the CRM software for monitoring and also on our website too.

As a key part of my role, I assist the events and communications teams with the planning and delivery of industry events supported and hosted by Global Underwater Hub. For this, it includes a variety of tasks which are centred around both the planning stages and on the day delivery of such events too.

As part of my role as team leader, it was my responsibility to manage the on shift team of between 4 to 6  members of staff. I had to ensure that all daily tasks set by both the company and the store were completed. Having the ability to communicate and the confidence in delegating tasks were essential for this role.

Whilst with the company, the role allowed me to interact directly with customers and excel within a retail based environment, working closely with my colleagues at all times.

I have worked a mixture of full-time and part-time in two different JD Wetherspoon sites; The Running Horse in the departure lounge of Doncaster Sheffield Airport and The Justice Mill in the city centre of Aberdeen.

Passionate and detail-oriented within my current role, I work closely with both the Events and Communication teams to plan and deliver all internal and external events.
