Moritz Gekeler's Linkedin Analytics

Moritz Gekeler (PhD) is a facilitator, coach and strategic consultant for future-ready work and co-creation. His passion is to enable people from diverse professional, organizational, and cultural backgrounds to collaborate effectively and with joy. In 2018, he co-founded mermaid & broccoli with his business partners Susanne Schluckebier and Bernadette Büsgen. The company offers learning formats for executives to help them better deal with complex situations and make their organizations future-proof. They also train facilitators who want to establish new working methods and approaches in organizations and teams. We are offering a portal that provides users with access to virtual learning journeys and a growing number of creative working methods (currently around 100). With his second company – dolaborate – Moritz supports foundations, NGOs, and startups in working more effectively together. For example, he has been working with a group of feminist activists from different Asian countries for the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, helping them develop innovative concepts for advocacy work. Together with illustrator Roberta Maddalena Bireau and futurist Eckhard Schüler-Hainsch, he also created the innovation card game Game of Conflicts. The game allows players to analyze problems for which there are no simple solutions and overcome them using approaches from the theory of inventive problem-solving (TRIZ). Before starting his own businesses, he gathered professional experience in various institutions such as the foresight department of Daimler AG (Society & Technology Research Group), the HPI School of Design Thinking (d.school) and the SAP Design and Co-Innovation Center. Besides working in the business and social sector, he taught courses on design management, design research and futures studies at universities in Germany, Switzerland and India. Moritz works predominantly virtually with his clients.
