Director of Social Media

In my role as Co-Head of Social at Obsidian Digital, I provided leadership and management to a team of 25 social media professionals. My responsibilities included recruiting, mentoring, and capacity planning to ensure the team was delivering high-quality work for our clients.

As part of my role, I developed the commercial profile of the department, helping to increase revenue and win new business. I also hosted conferences, external speaking engagements, and several webinars to position our agency as a thought leader in the social media marketing industry.

As a Consultant at Obsidian Digital, I specialized in developing social media strategies in collaboration with my clients across all platforms. I was also responsible for managing the execution of campaigns for my largest clients. In addition, I took on a role in recruitment and being a front-person of the team. I helped our agency establish itself as a better positioned agency withing social media advertising.

During my time as an Associate Consultant, my primary focus was to develop an in-depth understanding of the various ad platforms within paid social media, including Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Snap Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads, Twitter Ads, Reddit Ads, and TikTok For Business. In addition, I was responsible for managing a portfolio of 10+ SME clients, ensuring their advertising campaigns were successful and meeting their business goals.

Associate Consultant

As an Analyst, my role encompassed a blend of on-page and technical SEO responsibilities. Specifically, I was responsible for implementing SEO strategies for several highly-trafficked affiliate marketing websites in Denmark, including both product review and comparison sites.

As a Guest Teacher at Copenhagen Business Academy, I share my expertise in social media advertising with students in the marketing program. My focus is on providing real-world examples and practical advice that can help students understand the challenges and opportunities of advertising on social media.

Through my role as a Guest Teacher, I am able to share my passion for social media advertising with the next generation of marketers. It is a privilege to be able to help students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today's competitive digital landscape.

During my tenure, I led the development and implementation of a new SEO strategy that included a focus on improving the site's internal link structure, optimizing content for target keywords, and building high-quality backlinks. As a result of these efforts, we achieved over 30% organic growth in SEO, and the top 100 keywords had an average ranking of 2.4.

In addition to improving keyword rankings, I also worked to improve the site's overall visibility in search engine results pages. Our visibility increased by over 15%, and we surpassed our competitors to become the leading SEO performer in our market.
