Hello, world! I'm Mohammed, your friendly neighborhood data scientist, cracking complex problems from the comfort of my own virtual workspace. I have a Master's degree in Data Science from Koç University, where I worked on an applied machine learning research project and was a teaching assistant of Information Systems and Statistics courses. Currently, I am a Data Scientist at Armut / HomeRun, a leading online platform for home services in Turkey. My core competencies include exploratory data analysis, data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning, deep learning, recommender systems, and web development. At Armut / HomeRun, I work on various data science projects that aim to improve the user experience, optimize the business processes, and increase the revenue of the platform. Some of the projects I have contributed to include training predictive models, building recommender systems, creating web apps to serve ML models, and deploying them using CI/CD pipelines. I also monitor the model results and automatize the retraining process. I use skills such as feature engineering, machine learning algorithms, PySpark, and data science tools and frameworks. I enjoy working with a diverse and talented team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers, and presenting the project results to different stakeholders. I am motivated by the opportunity to solve real-world problems using data and technology, and to learn new skills and techniques along the way.
