Software Development Engineer Intern

Overview: As a Process Engineer - Technology we build automated self-service software products called Workflows for Amazon.com Seller Support. Workflows are basically taking the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that Seller Support Associates would follow to address a sellers problem/contact reason and converting them into software; while also automating the human tasks where possible. The software is used by Seller Support Associates (internal) and Amazon.com Sellers (external). 


Work Experience:
- Design, develop, test, launch, and improve automated self-service software products 
- Work with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature
- Oncall responsibilities (i.e.monitoring system performance, ticket triaging & scoping, office hours, deployment, etc...)
- Converted monolithic software architecture into a microservice architecture that is consumable by a LLM

(L4) IT App Analyst

Quality Ambassador:
- Raised the quality rating for the staging area audits for my shift from ~70% to 90-98%
- Trained 6+ associates for the quality ambassador role
- Used VISTA to help me track the percentage of packages that were closed but not scanned and made sure to keep the number at an acceptable rate as to Amazon's standards
- Retrained 20+ associates during my time as a quality ambassador as to the proper procedures in their process path based on network standards

Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Ambassador:
- Led the PIT class and trained a class of up to 6 associates
- Conducted PIT audits for new PIT drivers 
- Conducted retraining’s for associates who lost their PIT license and ensured that they knew going forward what to properly do in accordance with Amazon's policies
- Answered any questions that new PIT drivers or leadership might have had about the PITs and the rules pertaining to the PITs

Learning Ambassador: 
- Trained a group of up to 5 new associates in the various process paths in Outbound Ship Dock
- The first point of contact for new associates and answered any questions they had 
- Trained 50+ associates on new processes that were introduced in Outbound Ship Dock

Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Driver:
-Maintained a perfect PIT record during my 2.5 years with 0 safety incidents
- Trained 10+ new PIT drivers for the process of operating a PIT in Outbound Ship Dock, Transship
- In charge of operating the Hi Lo and loading the trailers in Trans. I loaded 4 up to 12 trailers in Transship per day
- Scanned up to 60 pallets per trailer and ensured that the pallets were properly scanned and logged into the system so that Amazon and the customers knew where the packages were

(L1) Associate (DTW1)

AMC Theatres

Overview: My primary role at AMC Theaters was Backbar. The Backbar is in charge of running the stand, answering any questions guests have, and supervising and delegating tasks.

- Supervised a team of up to 15 associates
- Coordinated with leadership to ensure that I had the proper number of associates needed to run my area and labor shared associates with other areas
- Trained new associates in the concessions stand
- Conducted daily inventory audits at the start and end of shift ensuring that everything is stocked and accounted for
- Helped over 100+ customers
- Opened the concessions stand before shift and closed the concessions stand after shift. Ensured that everything was stocked and prepared for the next shift

Crew Member (AMC20)

Graduate student at Georgia Institute of technology for the Online Master of Science in Computer Science (OMSCS) program, and recently graduated (January 2024) with a Bachelor of Science in Software Development.

I have an interest in video game development and have been learning Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot.
