This is my story on how I got into marketing, climate, and mushrooms. I started working in marketing a couple of years ago. With a background in psychology + business, this work intrigued me the most. It wasn't just about convincing ideas, but also about the connections and the creativity involved. Along the way, I got introduced to mushrooms. The limited space needed for their growth and the novel insights I gained every time I engaged with them about the fungal kingdom, about MYSELF, and about nature were truly impressive. I won't say I succeeded on the first try. I failed more than 100 times, maybe even 1000s. But there was something about it, something about me, that felt incredibly important. Then, as I started working in marketing for orgs in climate and sustainability, things started to make the most sense to me. It clarified how I want to shape my career and in which direction. This is how I see my life being built by me, in front of me. While I'll keep working in marketing (I love it so much), I plan to move closer to climate communications. In doing so, I aim to use my understanding from work to build something amazing out of mushrooms. So, I am a marketer who would really love to work with climate and sustainability orgs, and I am building my mushroom startup to a stage where I can be proud of it.
