Oman Airports Management Company S.A.O.C (OAMC) is responsible for the management and operation of Muscat International and Salalah Airports and for the future new airports of Ad Duqm, Sohar, and Ras Al Hadd. The Muscat International Airport development project is the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken in the history of Oman. The total gross floor area for the new Muscat International terminal building is 344,995 sqm and has a cost of $1.8Bn. The new airport is designed as ICAO category 4F and shall be able to accommodate the world's largest aircraft, the Airbus A380. The runway has been designed to enable independent parallel operation. The passenger terminal and piers are designed with the latest "state of the art" technology and in accordance with IATA Service Level A standards. It’s great to be involved in this project and work with the team on delivering something exceptional. My role is to manage the tenancy and fit-out processes in Muscat, Salalah and other regional airports, ensuring that the fit-out is of the highest possible standard and in line with the tenancy design guidelines manual. Budgeting, project management functions such as project governance, tracking, and reporting are all handled by the PMO. Building Controls/Permitting for modifications, refurbishment, and facilities management services. Tendering for Real Estate Development includes assistance with Master Plan Preparation, Land Side Hotel Developments, and Freight Forwarding Facilities, all of which are integral components of the Property Department's commercial activities. Management of consultants engaged like MACE-ATKINS, Smart Design Group-Canada, Dar Al-Handasah, and Colliers includes a review of reports and performance, in addition to contract and cost management, which are regular activities. Ensure completeness of all fit-outs in terms of performance, reliability, and safety, taking into consideration OAMC, end-users, and all other stakeholders’ requirements.

ALEC FITOUT is a specialist interior contractor offering full turnkey interior solutions for the build, fit-out and refurbishment of hotel and spa resorts, airports, shopping malls, leisure and mixed-use developments in the UAE, Oman, and Qatar. Head of the ALEC Fit-out Operation in Oman. Refurbishment works at HM Advisor for Cultural Affairs, Millennium Resort Spa & Airport Fit-out are completed projects. Oversee the HSE program for both the office and fieldwork environments, including contractor and subcontractor activities, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Identify new business opportunities for the branch; establish and maintain effective business relationships and contacts with key associates (Carillion, Omran, RCA).  To ensure that the project scope, design basis, and objectives are defined, and that detailed work plans, schedules, budgets, and procedures, including an Execution Plan, a Contract Management Plan, and a plan for addressing critical cross-functional work processes and systems, are established. Review and monitor construction program vs. project progress, long lead, and nomination schedules, design amendments, material tracking schedules, etc. for all ongoing projects on a continuous basis and take timely action to address any deviations to ensure projects are completed within specified parameters. Manage and monitor compliance with approved budgets and work plans, the process of change orders, and oversight of procurement to ensure achievement of construction milestones and profitability. Develop and manage the branch communication plan to ensure effective communication between the project team, the client, off-project operations, functional management, and senior management. Coaches, mentors, motivates, supervises, and influences branch team members/subcontractors to take positive action and accountability for their assigned tasks.

Worked as Senior Project Manager-Finishes for Prestigious Oman National Museum, Muscat.

Oman Parliament's successful inauguration and addressing the Nation by His Majesty was paramount and to achieve this objective the following actions were taken.

a.	Requested the Employer for Interior Consultant to get supported to address the ongoing design anomalies with our In house Architects to develop the design to the satisfaction of Employer.

b.	Weekly Technical meeting was arranged with Head of Royal Estate Projects to reduce the major 10 risks involved for completion.

c.	Fortnight Progress meeting with C.E.O/G.M of respective sub-contractors to monitor Key Performance Index and measures to maintain progress under challenging conditions.

d.	The activity schedule and sequences were re-organized to accelerate progress in all conditions rather than following traditional sequences.

e.	Energizing the building and Environmental control measures were considered on top agenda to receive high end finishes for a long duration of Project

f.	Proactive design workshops were introduced to fast track on-site decisions for smooth flow of workflow rather than spending time with agencies as per their contractual requirements.

Worked as Senior Finishes Manager for a $191m project to create Majlis Oman

On 12.11.12 His Majesty the Sultan presides over the opening of the new compound of the Council of Oman (Majlis Oman) in the Al Bustan area in Muscat.

The Majlis Oman, built by contractor Carillion Alawi, was named Overall Project of the Year at the Construction Week Awards: Oman. 

The judges said the project was notable for its exceptional quality, which has also contributed to it becoming the highly successful venue that it is. One judge pointed out that it was a difficult project to beat given its 'purpose, location, quality and the significance it has within Oman'.

"It's the most iconic project in Oman. "It's going to be part of the heritage of the country. It was a difficult project and the standards we had to achieve were exceptional, but it's a pleasure to work on such projects for the country."

As a Sr. Project Manager reporting to Project Director, responsibilities include complete project management from the pre-construction stage to final handover. 

This includes liaison with the Consultants/Arch/client, monitoring all activities against the programme and ensuring the project completion on time, manage all aspects of the packages for the building construction projects.

The responsibilities also include developing key individuals within a group, motivate team members and develop and maintain focus in a critical situation to achieve project milestones and organization goals

The edifice comprises three main buildings, namely the Council of Oman, the Majlis Addawla and Majlis Ash’shura and other facilities as well. The annual convening of the Council of Oman attended by Royal Family members, the chairmen of the Majlis Addawla and Majlis Ash’shura, ministers, advisers, commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) wings and the Royal Oman Police and members of the two Majlis.

Eventually, I was leading both responsibilities with a team of 43 engineers, Architects & staff. The responsibilities were includes.

2.	Develop revenue models and manage the Project Budget with analysis of project profitability, revenue, margins, and resource utilization.
3.	Designing and conceptualizing the projects as per client requirement ie. Space allocations, Furniture selection/designing positioning, interior design, color scheme presentation for the look & feel as per client’s requirement for Interior turnkey Projects.
4.	Strategy planning, Material mgt, Vendor/supplier chain development-management and Machinery inspection for projects.
